Thursday, November 5 marked the fourth anniversary of our FNE Explorers movement here in the United States. Founded in 1999 in Ontario, Canada, the Federation of North-American Explorers formally installed its first American group on Saturday, November 5, 2011. That installation came just over a year from when our group leader first sent an inquiry to FNE Founder and General Commissioner Paul Ritchi.

North Star FNE, which started with just two sections — a Timber Wolf Den for boys and another for girls — has since grown to five sections, with an Otter Lodge for boys and girls, Timber Wolf Dens for boys and girls, a boys’ Explorer Troop, and a girls’ Explorer Company. In addition, FNE has grown a great deal in those four years as well, from two groups (our founding group Four Arrows FNE in York, Ontario, plus North Star FNE) to 26 groups today in two Canadian provinces and 16 US states.

(Our most recent addition is Our Lady of the Snows FNE in Belleville, Illinois — near St. Louis.)

What is keeping you from being a part of our FNE family?
