Christ the King. Our den colors are blue and gold. The gold in our colors represents the North Star but especially Christ the King. The Feast of Christ the King was established in 1925 by Pope Pius XI in his encylical Quas Primas, but the devotion to Christ as King is much older. This feast is celebrated on the last Sunday of October in the old Calendar, but on the Sunday before the 1st Sunday of Advent in the new.
Our Lady. The blue in our colors represents our home State of New Jersey, a maritime state, but most of all our love and devotion to Our Lady. Specifically, we wear Guadalupe Blue in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas and Protectress of the Unborn.
The patrons for the Timber Wolves are St. Francis and St. Clare for the boys and girls respectively. In addition, St. John Bosco is a special patron of the Wayfarer Explorers.
